Previously, the activities of Ukrainian museums were not clearly regulated. Each museum used its own methods to account for its collection, which complicated access to comprehensive information about the country’s cultural assets. The process of researching and documenting museum items remained an endless task for museum professionals — one that required systematization and standardization. The introduction of a centralized electronic system — the State Register of the Museum Fund — is intended to help preserve and effectively manage the museum heritage that is owned by the state.
1. Proactively involving museum workers and experts in related fields.
2. Gathering requirements and turning them into a product requirements document for developers.
3. Designing the system from scratch.
4. Creating a design system.
5. Ensuring control over the development, using the best data security standards.
6. Developing regulatory documents.

1. Develop a high-quality tool for accounting for museum objects in Ukraine.
2. Ensure control and safety of museum objects via real-time tracking.
3. Provide transparency and efficiency when managing movement of museum objects by systematically tracking their location and monitoring how they are handled.
4. Maintain updated records on stolen, damaged, or destroyed museum objects.
5. Improve transparency and accessibility of information about museum objects for researchers, students, and the general public.
1. Creation of a unified State Register of the Museum Fund of Ukraine.
2. Maintenance of structured records for museum objects and collections in compliance with EU data exchange standards such as CIDOC Conceptual Reference Model, ISO 21127, and LIDO (Lightweight Information Describing Objects).
3. Management of users with complex multi-level role-based access.
4. Digitalization of logistics operations with museum objects and tracking their location.
5. Obtaining permission from the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine.
6. Data migration from other museum information systems.
7. Integration with a public portal to display publicly available information about museum objects.
